Have you ever fancied jetting off to a sun-drenched tropical island, enrolling in a scuba diving school and then diving off a small yacht into the endless ocean? Splashing into the cool water and then exploring an underwater reef that is inhabited by a myriad of weird and wonderfully beautiful creatures? sounds great doesn't it? Well, don't worry about the cost, you don't even need to leave your house because with Endless Ocean you can now explore the underwater world, with a scuba-diving partner on the Wii. have a look at this underwater experience:
Don't worry. the sharks in the game don't attack.
What a resource for relaxation but also as a tool to be used with children. It could be used as a resource for talking, writing, investigation and for relationship building. These types of 'games' that don't appear to have an end point and that just let you explore and enjoy the media experience are fantastic. This game reminds of Electroplankton, one of the first media experience games for the DS. Now getting that on the Wii would be something else.
Now on the money I've saved not booking that holiday in the West Indioes will let me buy that 50" HD TV for my underwater excursions...
I keep knocking the diver out against the rocks!! I need lessons. But it is brilliant - quite calming.
