Some of the work that I have been involved with in Scottish schools was shared with the games industry audience at the Edinburgh Interactive Festival this week. I spoke about the merits and value of commercial off the shelf games being used in nursery, primary and secondary schools and I do think that the audience were really taken aback and surprised at what we have been doing. Who knows they may see this not only as a way to open further markets and to enhance the image of the games industry but they might see it as a way to help contribute to the continued evolution and success of our schools.
The talk has been featured in Gamasutra, one of the main and most widely read game websites, although I don't believe I used the phrase "what is this p*@&!!!!! ;-)
Further details of the work that was shared will appear on the Consolarium's blog very soon.
